An intense and elegant red wine, an expression of the Brancaia vineyards in the Tuscan Maremma. The 2008 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Sangiovese (30%), and Petit Verdot (10%).
On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe, succulent dark fruits. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with a substantial structure and a rich, persistent finish.
It is aged for 18 months in barriques—half new and half second-use—followed by 12 months of bottle refinement. It pairs well with braised meats, roasts, and game dishes.
