Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin 100% Barbera grapes are used for the production of Lavignone. The vineyards extend over hectares of hills in the Piedmont area. During the harvesting process, the grapes must have reached an optimal ripeness, followed by 10/12 days they are delicately de-stemmed and crushed. Aging takes place in steel tanks for 9 months. Before being put on the market, the wine is left to refine in the bottle for a further 4 months.
