Tequila Sierro Antiguo Anejo is produced only with Agave plants harvested after seven years in the Los Altos area. Agave plants are steamed very slowly. Fermentation takes place with proprietary yeasts and is distilled twice in different copper stills in a discontinuous cycle. For the Antiguo Anejo version, the Tequila ages for at least 26 months in oak barrels. It is monitored 24 hours a day by the technical team of the Bodegas Sierra. The cap in the shape of a sombrero and the Mayan pyramid and the figure of the Mexican God Tonatiuh (the God of the Sun) in relief on the bottle, catch the eye and introduce us to the fascinating world of Mexican culture.
