The Masseto 2018 is produced in the Bolghieri area in Tuscany by Masseto winery . This red is produced using Merlot. grapes As in all of Tuscany, Masseto 2018 is the product of a cool vintage with a fair amount of rain in August. It is the first vintage made in the new cellar of the company, which is equipped with concrete fermenters that allow greater flexibility in extraction. The malolactic fermentation process took place in 100% new oak barrels, keeping the various lots separate for the first 12 months of aging. The wines are then blended and put back in barrique for another year, for a total of 24 months before bottling. The wines are then stored for a further 12 months before being marketed.
