Morellino di Scansano is the typical wine of the Maremma area of Sangiovese, in the province of Grosseto. Produced by the farm Poggio al Lupo, by Antonio Moretti. The area is characterized by a soil with a limestone base. During the manufacturing process, fermentation and maceration take place at a controlled temperature for a period of 15 days. Subsequently the maturation in steel tanks lasts for 7 months, while the refining in the bottle for 2-3 months.
