Nikka From The Barrel is a Japanese blended whiskey born from the idea of Masataka. It is made from a selection of Japanese grain whiskeys and barley malt. The distillery is in a great location, near the sea. This gives the whiskey a complex character with salty notes. The manufacturing process of this whiskey follows artisanal methods, the stills are revived over high heat. It is then refined in oak barrels for a few years and then bottled, without adding other substances. It won the 2007 and 2010 World Whiskeys Awards.
