Tequila Sierra Silver is produced only with Agave plants from the Los Altos area. They are harvested after seven years. Agave plants are steamed very slowly, fermentation takes place with proprietary yeasts and is distilled twice in different batch copper stills. Finally, a rest in steel autoclaves follows. The bottle cap is in the shape of a sombrero. The Mayan pyramid and the figure of the Mexican God Tonatiuh (the God of the Sun) on the bottle catch the eye and introduce us to the fascinating world of Mexican culture.
