The Grillo Family and friends is a very versatile white, produced in the Feudo Macari winery in Noto, Sicily. Here the vines extend for several hectares on clayey and calcareous soils. The grapes of these areas are called Nero d’Avola, cultivated with the ancient sapling method. The breeding foresees a vast quantity of plants which strongly affects the quality of the wine. During the winemaking process, part of the liquid is poured into small oval concrete containers. While the other part in small oak barrels for 16 days. The maturation and finally the refinement in the bottle follow a six-month process.
