Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC is produced in the cellars of Emidio Pepe. The territory is characterized by a medium-structured clayey soil. Wine is considered “ready to drink”, a biodynamic and quality product. During the manufacturing processes, the grapes are dipped by hand in wooden vats. Later in copper crystals and sulfur mine. No yeasts, herbicides or chemicals are used. The vinification then takes place in vitrified concrete tanks, while the aging lasts 24 months in traditional cement vats.
