Sassicaia 2003 is a wine produced in the area of Bolgheri, in Tuscany. The Tenuta San Guido winery is historic and is dedicated exclusively to the production of Sassicaia. In this area the vineyards extend for 75 hectares , on a land mainly calcareous and stony . The wine is made up of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc . During the manufacturing process. the fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature . Maceration on the skins for about 10 days. The refinement takes place in French oak barriques for 24 months and then rests in the bottle before being sold.
