Sassicaia 2005 is a wine produced in the Bolgheri area, in Tuscany. The Tenuta San Guido winery is historic and is dedicated exclusively to the production of Sassicaia. In this area the vineyards extend for 75 hectares, on a predominantly calcareous and stony soil. The wine is made up of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. During the manufacturing process. fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature. Maceration on the skins for about 10 days. The refinement takes place in French oak barrels for 24 months and then remains in the bottle to rest before being sold.
